One could state that Change has been a constant factor throughout my entire career. As a consultant, as well as a manager and leader, I have always worked in 'Change' environments. The L&D programmes I have designed, always consisted of a 'change' component; a Leadership program for KPN that had to reinstate an entrepreneurial spirit, a Project Management course for Rijkswaterstaat in which the had to invent a new project management model together with the participants, in which Rijkswaterstaat could handle more projects, with ½ the colleagues.
As a manager I have never worked in an environment which remained the same for more than six months. Furthermore, as an implementation partner for Talent Management methodologies, change was always an inevitable component in my in my projects.
All of this has led me to develop my change management skills. I am able to create support for upcoming changes, know how to deal with people who are opposed to change. Furthermore, I know how to strategize and I am able to talk and empathize with people in such a way, that I can get (most of) them onboard.
